Aaaand here he is! All mounted on a deep canvas, varnished and finished off. This was such a fun project. I definitely have to do more pet portraits. :D
Just beautiful - is he a little shih tzu? My Mum had one - he was so full of... I shall just say character. *g* He definitely ruled the roost :)
Loved looking round your blog today - thank you so much for the visit to mine. YES - I really recommend joining in with WOYWW as you can guess, it's every Wednesday and starts off here: http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday-297.html Julia puts up a linky widget, you put the link to your blog post about your desk in that widget, note what number you are and then go off and snoop on other people :) It's a great way to network and meet other bloggers and also to build your blog audience too. There's no obligation to visit EVERY desk - lots of people repay whoever visited them and then grab a few extras off the list. Last week was the first time I had managed to visit everyone on the list in ages. I spread it out over the week - when I'm having lunch or a coffee etc. I've been doing it on and off for years now and can honestly say, some of my best friends were made through doing WOYWW and/or my blog. So you can see why I cling onto Blogland ;)
I also recommend linking an email to your blog - I got an email notification that you had commented on my blog but couldn't reply because it was a "no-reply blogger" address. It's really simple to link an email. Click on 'design' at the top of your page Click on the little drop down arrow next to your picture, click on blogger profile and then 'edit profile' then tick 'show my email' and then just make sure you type in the email that you would like to receive queries too. And save. Especially if you want people to interact with you or reply to questions you might ask, it makes it a bit easier. When the notification comes into their inbox they can click reply and email you direct :)
Sorry for the long waffly post :) Hope I have been of help. I really look forward to seeing your guest house studio take shape (even more jealous now!)
p.s - you can also add 'follower' widgets on your sidebar or 'subscribe by email' widgets - go to the layout section in your blogger profile and click 'add a gadget' you can drag it wherever you want on your blog and people can follow you via their blogs. x
Eeeee! Oh my gosh! I LOVE your long waffly post, and thank you so much for the tips! (Yes, I only just now received your notifications in my email, :P but better late than never, right? ;) ) I'm going to try adding the widgets, and the email connection-thingey right now.
Thank you so much for your kind words! <3 Yep, he's a Shih-tzu and he's definitely a bundle of character and freakish intelligence, (TOO smart, actually) with his own personality and VERY much in charge. Thankfully he's a big Momma's Boy though, so I get my way sometimes too. ;)
Thanks again and definitely keep in touch! <3 Martha
